If you want to go to d1 school to play football should you go to d2 for a year and transfer or stay with d1?

like should you most likely play and start in a d2 school and transfer to d1 and maybe start or should you stay with your d1 school from the start and learn from the team and get to know the coaches (maybe get on there good side get them to like you and show them your determination) and plays even if you dont start that first year youll be learning so you could get better also youll know the team more and have better communication and trust amung the team and such forth.
